Every time I listen to an Andy Carhart and Pernicious Birds collaboration the first thing I say is Pink Floyd, Pink Floyd, and Pink Floyd. Andy has one of those voices that is, haunting and captivating. The icing on the cake is that the lyrics are just as soul-stirring, but also creative and obscure.
The overall composition from my point of view was: relaxing and influential. Almost felt like a wave crashing against the shoreline as the song progresses and then slowly receding into the ocean as Underground comes to a close. Wonderful melodies and structure throughout. Great track.
